What is CalWORKs?

CalWORKs provides temporary financial assistance and services to eligible families with (or expecting) children. Benefits include cash assistance, food, child care, and health care coverage.

CalWORKs also provides job and education assistance and other services, even after leaving the program.

Starting October 30, 2023, BenefitsCal replaces MyBenefits CalWIN to make it easier to apply, view, and renew health coverage, food, and cash assistance.
